Party Animals

"It was missing!" Joseph, the boy who loved to read, was amazed and angry. Sometimes called Hot Dog by his friends, because he was as skinny as a hot dog, Joseph was telling his classmates what had happened. It seems that Umm, an evil man with a thick, black mustache, had taken Joseph's smelly donkey, named Molasses, without permission, to ride it to a party. Umm was known to everyone in town as a real party animal.

The party took place in downtown Brisbane, Australia, where Joseph and his friends lived. When Joseph discovered that Molasses was gone, he sent a text message to his friend George, who was always helpful. George was eating a banana, as always, when he came over to Hot Dog's house.

George had seen Umm on the donkey just moments earlier and thought that Joseph had loaned him the animal.

"Which way were they going?" Joseph asked.

George swallowed and said, "to the center of downtown, where all the cool parties take place."

They hurried in that direction, just in time to see Umm scream and jump off of the donkey. When they looked up, they saw what made the party animal scream. To this day, no one knows why, but a huge rhinoceros fell off the skyscraper above them and crashed right onto the donkey, killing him instantly.

Joseph was so very, very angry, he ate his friend George in one bite. (Even though he was skinny, he could eat a lot!)

The only good news in this whole story is that the rhino was okay, and Joseph got to take it home as a pet.
