Thomson-McDuffie County Library in Thomson, GA

The Case of the Missing Food

By the Thomson Readers

This is a story about a tall, grumpy lady - sort of. Her name was Iteonna, and she wasn't always grumpy - just when she got hungry. She was quite tall and loved to eat bananas. As a matter of fact, she loved to eat all kinds of food. She liked chicken, hot dogs and spaghetti.

One morning, Hailey, a happy old woman who walks with a cane, met up with Iteonna while they were walking through the park. When Hailey got to the parking lot she saw that there was food in someone's car, and since she was hungry, she took it, and hurried off as fast as she could go.

It was Iteonna's car, and it was her food that was taken! Iteonna called Demiteri and asked him to help her find her food, since Demeteri is known far and wide as a great detective. he simply followed the clues to Hailey's house and took it back to Iteonna.

When Iteonna found out that Hailey took the food because she was hungry, she invited Hailey to come to her house for a meal. They became good friends and still are to this day.

Two stories in a row with happy endings for everyone! I like this library system! What do YOU think? Please leave a comment below.
